Cross-platform Conversion

Blue Marble Geographics (ME, USA) has released cross-platform versions of its coordinate conversion libraries GeoCalc 6.0, including Windows, Linux, Mac and COM. The first release in August 2004 was on a .NET platform. As an object-oriented component, it relies upon an XML data source, contains complete European Petroleum Survey Group (EPSG) support and provides support for Well-Known Text (WKT) definitions via OGC specifications. This product will support all previous GeoCalc coordinate system classifications and any other coordinate system library definitions.
The company has also announced an update to version 5.1 of its GeoTransform software developer tool kit, the image transformation library behind the Geographic Transformer offering a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) for Windows programmers using Visual Basic, C++, Delphi, PowerBuilder, C++ Builder and other Windows development tools. New in version 5.1 is the availability of a free evaluation version of the tool kit and all the updated coordinate system definition, projection and other functions of the GeoCalc 5.3 DLL.
