EarthMap Solutions Unveils Product Line

EarthMap Solutions, LLC (CO, USA) presented it products for customers using remote sensing tools for agriculture, environmental and forestry land management.
EarthMap Solutions (EMS), a spin-off of DigitalGlobe’s agriculture business, has exclusive intellectual rights to the highly regarded AgroWatch suite of information products from DigitalGlobe, as well as the AgSense proprietary technology and intellectual property information systems from Boeing.

AgroWatch products are derived from a constellation of orbiting satellites and aircraft and customised for agricultural markets by EMS. To produce its land maps, EMS also can draw upon its extensive US$ 8.8 million Image Library, comprising 2.9 million square miles on four continents.

The company employs various delivery methods for its colour-coded information maps, overcoming an age-old problem of electronic data delivery to rural locations. These maps provide a detailed overview of exactly what is happening in each field or across many farms with information that is delivered in near real-time.

The AgroWatch product suite quantifies crop status, soil conditions and rates of crop change throughout the field in areas as small as 2x2 feet. AgroWatch products can cut field-scouting time in half by identifying problem areas, often before they’re visible to the naked eye. These products include: Green Vegetation Index, Soil Zone Index, Color Infrared Maps, Scout Aide.

In addition to the AgroWatch product line, EMS owns AgSense, developed over eight years by RESOURCE21, LLC, a satellite and information company formerly owned by Boeing, Farmland Industries, BAE Systems and ITD. The AgSense product line is a suit of field level management products designed to help growers and crop consultants optimize crop production by allocating the right amount of inputs where it is needed and thereby reducing cost, improving yield and limiting the negative environmental impact of chemicals.

The AgSense product suite includes: Yield Trax , Variable Rate Pix, Canopy Density Maps and NitroTrax.
