ORBIMAGE Reports Q3 Results

ORBIMAGE (VA, USA) has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2004 and for the first nine months ending 30th September 2004. Total revenues in the 2004 periods reflect the commencement of OrbView-3 operations, while net loss in the 2004 periods reflects an increase in operating costs (including depreciation) resulting from the OrbView-3 satellite. For Q3, total revenues were US$ 8.9 million versus US$ 1.1 million for the previous year; and net loss was US$ 6.1 million versus a loss of US$ 4.6 million a year ago. For the first nine months of 2004, total revenues were US$ 20.7 million versus US$ 4.1 million in the same 2003 period; and net loss was US$ 19.0 million versus a loss of US$ 10.4 million a year ago.
